From pre-schools to kindergarten to girl scouts to even birthday parties we have expanded our programs. 

With Pluggie, our firefighters teach all about 911, stop drop and roll, cover and roll and all how smoke detectors save lives.  We teach children how to call 911 and even show them what it's like to wear our fire gear and see what the firefighter sees through a face piece.

We have learned from them and they have brought  us closer to the community. There is nothing like a child walking up to you on the street our in a local business telling his or her parent that "that's the fireman who visited the school with Pluggie." 

As 2001 begins, were are already booked almost every month for some sort of fire safety education program. Also, with the addition of the fire safety house becoming a regular stop in Old Forge we see no limits in teaching children about fire safety.
